Air Conditioning Inverter Phase Checker

Air Conditioning Inverter Phase Checker

Air Conditioning Inverter Phase Checker

Works with all manufactures with instant analysis and fault diagnosis

The "Inverter Phase Check Module" is the perfect low cost answer to a Contractor's problems when an inverter-controlled air conditioner fails. The difficulty is always to know whether it is the compressor or the inverter which is giving trouble - and the Inverter Phase Check Module can help to tell you which is faulty. The supply connections are disconnected from the compressor, and are connected to this module. When the inverter is switched on the six lights on the module should light up Red, Yellow and Blue. If the inverter PCB is faulty, one or more of these lights will not switch on, and this indicates the position of the fault. It's that simple! If all six lights are on, the PCB is fine, and the fault is with the compressor. If they are not all on, or one light is significantly dimmer than the rest, then the fault is with one or more of the output transistors on the PCB, or with the drive circuitry. The "Inverter Phase Check Module" is small enough to drop into the toolbox, and will always help with the analysis of problems on site. A Kit of connection leads are available for use with this indicator. The three leads are each 1 metre long and fitted with insulated 1/4" female Fastens for connection to the indicator box. The "Inverter Phase Check Module" and the Connection Leads are designed to comply with the CE Low Voltage Directive when used as directed on the Instruction leaflet. Although small, it is not intended to be hand-held, and of course all power supplies must be safely turned off while the module is being connected.

Key Product Features:

  • Instantly analyses compressor or inverter fault - on site
  • Fits easily within a toolbox - only 81mm x 73mm x 28mm!
  • Fast visual display
  • Optional kit of connection leads are available
  • Complies with CE Low Voltage Directive
  • CE approved for use up to 440v 3-phase inverters

Troubleshooting Guide

This Robinair pump has been designed for dependable use and long life. If something should go wrong, however, the following guide will help you get the pump back into service as quickly as possible.
If dis-assembly of the pump is required, please check your warranty. The warranty may be voided by misuse or customer tampering that results in the pump being inoperable.
Check line voltage. Robinair pumps are designed to start at +10% line voltage (loaded) at 32o F. At extremes, however, switching between the start and run windings may occur.

1. Verify the oil is not a residual accumulation from spillage, etc.
2. If leakage exists, the module cover gasket or the shaft seal may need replacing. Follow the instructions supplied with Seal Replacement Kit No. 15367. If leakage exists in the area of the oil drain plug, you may need to reseal the plug using a commercial pipe thread sealer.

1. Verify the Iso-Valve™ on the pump is in the OPEN position.
2. Verify the vacuum gauge and all connections are in good conditon and leak-free. Confirm leakage by monitoring the vacuum with a thermistor gauge while applying vacuum pump oil at connections or suspected leak points. Vacuum will improve briefly while the oil is sealing the leak
