The latest developement in electric patio heaters from Chillchaser UK. These attractive and unigue electric patio heaters are the latest design from Eddie Middleton who famously pitched to the Dragons on BBC's Dragons Den Programme. The release date is expected March 2012 with a RRP of £699.00 GBP / $1100.00 USD with delivery costes

Since production has moved to Scotland the manufacturing processes has speeded up and the quality of the product has been improved with thicker gauge metal but the price has risen on all the products across the range. Neptune patio heater review: The "Dragons Den" patio heater
The Neptune patio heater was first seen on BBC's Dragons Den series where it was pitched by Eddie Middleton. The Neptune is manufactured from a tough steal and coated in a weather proof heavy paint finish. The unit is virtually the same as the cheaper model the Mercury but has a light on the top which can be set on permanently or via the PIR. The PIR sensor is for energy saving so when there is no movement the Neptune will switch off the heater and the light. When it detects movement it restarts on its last setting which is useful when it is used on patios where people are coming and going. The Neptune also has a level safety switch so if it gets knocked over it will switch off. When the unit is tipped back to move on the caster style wheels for example the Neptune will switch off. The remote controller is a circular share with a magnetic back so it can be stuck anywhere on the side of the patio heater which is a good feature.
What's in the box?
On arrival the product comes in a box (almost like a coffin) in parts which need assembling. There is no need for specialist tools as most of the nuts and bolts are wing nuts. It is just a case of putting the body of the unit onto the base part and the light assembly just pushes into inserts on the top. No specialist required. A hand held magnet controller with batteries is supplied.
Heater Settings
The Neptune has two heater setting which are 1.15kW (one bar switched on) and 2.3kW (two bars switched on). Both heaters are a filament within a glass tube almost like a fluorescent light tube. The heat can be felt in a radiant fashion from around 4-5 meters away and is an enjoyable heat to be near. The whole idea of the Neptune genera of patio heaters is the instant heat without the smell of burning fuel or the inconvenience of having to get fuel/gas. It does it fantastically.

A massive storm ripped through buildings and caused major damage to houses and factories in the area. The roof housing the Neptune and Mercury Patio heaters which were due to be shipped that day was hit by a massive storm surge which brought it down on to the patio heaters causing $1000's worth of damage to many of the products. The Neputune and Mercury patio heaters are ideal for heating a patio without having to burn gas to heat area, this saves the user from having to get bottled gas. The Neptune patio heater is the biggest of the range and comes with built in light and energy saving movement sensor (PIR) as standard to switch off and on when people are present. These patio heaters are completely water proof and ideal for gardens and terraces.
