The Orionair IO220V Retro-fresh air conditioning ioniser is an easy fit solution for air conditioning systems, HVAC ducts or areas with stale air and re-occurring odour problems. Fujitsu air conditioning Supply and installation of multi air conditioning system for buildings “AIRSTAGE®” to “Jinan High-Tech Industrial Development

Fujitsu General Central Air-conditioner (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. (100% owned by FG, hereinafter “FGCA”) contracted the supply and installation of multi air conditioning system for buildings “AIRSTAGE®” (273 systems consisting of 273 outdoor units and 1,399 indoor units) to “Shandong Steel Group Headquarter Building” which was constructed in the third stage construction area of “Jinan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone”, Jinan City, Shandong, China. The installation work will start in October. In the same development zone, we have concluded the contract of order and supply of total about 1,200 systems for 3 years along with the first and second stages.
China is the world biggest market of air conditioners accounting for 37% of the world market with 26.74 million sets in the combined total of home use and commercial use in 2009. Among them, the market of multi air conditioners for buildings is rapidly expanding as the construction of buildings is progressing at high speed because of the development of urban area and the public capital investment measures in the scale of 4 trillion yuen (about 54 trillion yen) for 2 years were put forward by the Chinese government last year as economic stimulus measures.
Along with the improving quality of life supported by high economic growth, the demand for the comfort and energy-saving performance of air conditioners due to environmental issues and electricity shortage is increasingly heightening.
In the office building development work in Jinan City, Shandong which started in 2008, FGCA acquired order, in strong cooperation with the distributor, for the installation of air conditioning facility for buildings in the first stage construction in September, 2008 and delivered 348 systems in March this year and also received order for 594 systems in the second stage construction which started in September 2,009, delivery of which will be completed in December this year. Together with the order this time, total about 1,200 systems will be delivered for 3 years. This is as a result of the evaluation of the energy-saving performance, past sales record and high quality installation and after-sale service setup with quick follow-up of the multi air conditioning system for buildings “AIRSTAGE®” as well as the reliability acquired by the installation for the first stage construction.
The “AIRSTAGE®” we supplied this time can make adjustment of room temperature for the floors and rooms in the building individually and provide comfortable room environment. Also, by adopting the centralized control system, collective centralized control of all outdoor units and indoor units became available and the optimization of the air conditioning of the whole building and the reduction of the consumption of electricity have been realized.

MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES has made a giant leap forward in air conditioning and heat pump inverter technology, with the latest introduction of high performance SRF-ZJX Floor Mounted air conditioning systems. The NEW ADVANCED SRF Floor Mounted Indoor Units are a new design with a flat/low profile flat appearance, and is very easy to keep clean. The SRF includes the Mitsubishi innovative NATURAL ENZYME FILTER which destroys funghi, bacteria and viruses. This, combined with the main Photocatalytic Washable Deodorizing Filter, provides healthy clean air for the occupants. MITSUBISHI has used its innovative technology of compressor design, and the ozone friendly R410A refrigerant, and combined this with their new high and low air movement fan arrangement for optimum heating and cooling. The result is a quiet, high performance cooling and heating system, with advanced electronic controls for maximum comfort, controllable and energy efficient. ZJX Series The recently introduced slim indoor unit has a reduced depth of 293mm. The new multiple stage heat exchanger is folded to form a surround to the upper section of the fan enclosure. Auto Air Outlet selection

In heating mode: Both lower and upper outlets operate with Auto fan speed mode, the lower outlet will be kept for twenty minutes after the start or until room temperature is close to reaching the setting point. And then the air outlet will change to both outlets. That state will be maintained until the switch is turned off. Automatic adjustment of lower air outlet direction prevents stirring up of warm air and keeps optimum comfort at floor level. In cooling mode: In case both lower and upper outlets operation is selected in Cooling or Dry operation, both outlets will be kept for sixty minutes after the start or until room temperature is below the setting point. And then the air outlet will change to the upper outlet. That state will be maintained until switch is turned off. In case both outlets operation with Auto fan speed mode is selected, the upper outlet will be kept for ten minutes after the start or until room temperature is close to reaching the setting point. And then the air outlet will change to both outlets in order to spread comfort air to every corner.

Air conditioning installation for television production ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!’ in Costa Rica, Central America

Case Study of Air conditioning installation for television production in Costa Rica, Central America (19/05/09).

Orion Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Ltd has completed a TV production air conditioning project for Elstree Lighting, Power and Rigging in Costa Rica, Central America. The installation was for the production, AV, Satellite uplink and control areas of the television program “ I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ which is a Granada USA Television production.
In total 16 x Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) were installed on the Asur hotel site which held the television production and which is situated within 2km from the base camp from where the production was being filmed. The rain forest conditions threw up some very challenging installation situations including high humidity which was near 90%. Great care was required when commissioning the air conditioning units due to the humidity and on average the units were vacuumed with heavy duty MASTERCOOL ROTARY VANE DEEP VACUUM PUMP 6.3 CFM for around 2 hours to avoid contamination. The humidity was particularly hard on the Condensate Pumps which were extracting 30 litres of moisture every hour in some areas and needed upgrading to the Aspen Maxi-Orange condensate pump which were more powerful and durable to cope with rain forest conditions.

Production Cabins:

In the production cabins 2 x Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) were installed to cope with a 30m squared area which had ambient temperatures of around 36 DegC and excessive humidity. When the units were finally commissioned the area was reduced in temperature to around 23 degC which was the set point. The Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) were pulling out 10 litres / hour of condensate which in the UK is unheard of!

AV Server Area:

The AV air conditioning server areas had up to 20 individual server racks which were all integral to the television production and needed to be specifically cooled to maintain correct operation. The AV air conditioning area had in total 10 individual Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) which were very effective in cooling this TV production area from a start temperature of 37 DegC. The area was required to run at 21 DegC and once the Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) had reached temperature they cycled on one or two of the units which kept the area adequately cooled. The condensate in this area was not such a problem as the units took moisture out of a sealed area.

Satellite Up-link Area:

This area had 2 x Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) systems which covered a area of around 15m square and had various equipment to deal with the live satellite up-link of the production ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ . This was beamed live to the Granada USA Television American offices for live television viewing around the world. The Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) were able to bring this production area down to 19 DegC.

Project Overview:

This project took 7 days to complete and the Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) units performed without a hitch. The high ambient temperatures were not a problem for the Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning for the production which is designed to run in 46 DegC. The systems are to be taken out of the production had finished for use on another TV production air conditioning project. The Mitsubishi Electric PSA-RP125GA Floor Inverter Air Conditioning (14 kW / 48000 Btu) were chosen for their powerful output and durability and so far have proven to be just that.
